El Capitán Era Pez - “The captain was a fish” in English - explores the violent loss of a promise, disappointment, and the ways in which the body reconstructs itself after an abrupt rupture. The title emerges from the intersection between a phrase of military origin and the English idiom "to have a cow", used to describe an exaggerated reaction to an event. In this case, the figure of the captain—symbol of command, direction, and meaning—is added, yet appears displaced and failed: far from being a guide, he is lost.

The collection does not  propose a narrative of overcoming or idealized return. What emerges instead is a more fragile and precise observation: even after erosion, something remains. The garments sustain this minimal, almost stubborn persistence. Time within them is neither erased nor redeemed; it accumulates. In a present marked by individualism, obsolescence, and violent change, this collection stands as an act of poetic resistance. Its search lies in proposing empathy as a human value capable of transformation. It is within this accumulation that the project asserts its final idea: to reclaim the body, even when salvation does not appear close at hand.
